Montagu Evans Presents our Graduate Programme

2025 APPLICATIONS

Applications for our 2025 Graduate scheme closed in October 2024 and will reopen for our 2026 cohort in September 2025.

Following the CV sifting process, successful applicants will be asked to attend one of our Selection days, where they will complete various tasks as part of our assessment process.

Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback to unsuccessful applicants.

SUMMARY

Our two-year Graduate Programme is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working directly with our clients and alongside Partners and other senior colleagues across the business.

From day one, your team will value your perspective, give you real responsibility and rely on your contribution. You will have exposure to some of the largest commercial, residential and mixed-use property projects in the UK across private and public sectors.

We invest in our Graduates over two years with the purpose of building long-term careers. We offer a market-leading salary, benefits and lots of opportunities for learning, development and progression for obtaining professional qualifications and onward career.

With a keen interest and awareness of property/industry news and the current market, you will be able to demonstrate a great understanding of how you apply what you have learned at university to real property matters. Articulate and confident with strong interpersonal skills, you will show an aptitude for building collaborative relationships and possess strong problem-solving skills.

The structured training programme will allow you to gain experience across a range of departments with comprehensive support from peers and mentors, building towards the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and qualification.

THE ROLES

For our 2025 intake, we will be offering roles that will allow candidates to sit their APC in:

  • RICS Planning & Development Pathway
  • RTPI Planning
  • RICS Commercial Pathway
  • Historic Environment and Townscape

Last year, we introduced the Planning and Development RICS pathway, in addition to our Commercial pathway, which lies at the core of the firms’ P&D ethos.

Over the course of the Graduate Programme, there will be the opportunity to rotate through our Agency, Investment, Valuation, Rating, Management, Development and Planning teams in line with the APC Pathway being taken. During these rotations, your knowledge, skills, and experience will grow, preparing you for a successful and rewarding career with us.

If you decide to go down the RICS Commercial Surveying pathway, you will go through 4 different 6-month rotations in our departments. If you decide to go down the RTPI Planning route, you will remain in the Planning team for the duration of the program. For those on the RICS Planning and Development pathway, you will spend one year within a Planning team and one year in a Development team.

WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR

We build strong, high-performing, diverse teams by recruiting a variety of people with different experiences – personality above all is valued, so bring your best self. We look for candidates with:

  • Practical and relevant work experience.
  • Commercially aware and astute individuals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A genuine desire to pursue a career in the property industry.

For Commercial Surveying, P&D Surveying, and Planning applications, a minimum 2.1 degree obtained or predicted in a RICS or RTPI accredited undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

For Heritage applications, your course may have put you in line for membership of the RTPI, and our APC candidates have a high pass rate due to our mentoring system. Alternatively, your qualification may be more suited to IHBC membership.
