    Dr Carol Cragoe was educated in America and at the University of London, where she did a PhD on medieval English parish churches. She also has an MSc in Town Planning from the University of Brighton, with an emphasis on environmental planning, and is a fill member of the IHBC.

    Carol’s projects have ranged from single houses to the 10,000 unit greenfield garden village scheme at Gilston Park, Hertfordshire, as well as office buildings, infrastructure, and historic landscapes.  Before joining Montagu Evans in 2011, she worked for the Victoria County History, the Survey of London and on the churches relisting project at Historic England.

    She is the author of the best selling How to Read Buildings (2008), translated into 14 languages worldwide, and wrote the history of the medieval St Paul’s Cathedral for a major book on the cathedral.
